Chris “Luppy” Swan is a New York City pianist, vocalist, rapper, and music educator who has performed all over the world! He combines his love for jazz, hip-hop, and R&B to create a unique sound that is both exciting and innovative!

Whether solo or with his many ensembles performing jazz standards, the hits of the Rat Pack, arrangements of pop tunes, hip-hop and R&B classics, or performing his own original music which he calls “Inspirational Recovery Hip-hop", Swan is an entertainer who truly inspires!

Playing piano and singing, he has been a crowd favorite for years at numerous hotspots, including many popular vacation destinations in the Caribbean such as Aruba, St. Maarten, Curacao, Barbados, St. Kitts, and more! While pursuing a Bachelor of Music at Greenville University and then later at Hunter College, Swan has studied with such musical greats as Dr. Laila O’Sullivan, Geoffrey Burleson, David DeMotta, Ryan Keberle, Adam Maness, and Fred Hersch.

In 2021, Chris sold his house, his music business, and most of his belongings in order to follow his dream of moving to New York City, where he now resides, teaches through his new music school called My NYC Music Lessons, and performs regularly. Chris is a Steinway Educational Partner and a member of the Piano Teachers Congress of New York. He is also a founding member of the New York City jazz collective Secret Drive.

Chris offers a few different types of shows - Jazz, The Hits Of The Rat Pack, and All Your Favorite Pop Hits - but if you can’t decide, Chris can read the crowd and do whatever fits the occasion!
